IPC Annual Dinner: The Paddlers Gathered!

Thanks to all who braved that wind last Saturday to come to Kankakee for the IPC Annual Dinner, the “Gathering of the Paddlers” at the beautiful Wright-designed Bradley House on the Kankakee River.

Our turnout was excellent (the House was quite a draw, it turns out) with a full house attending! Thanks to all who participated in the program with a special thanks to our feature presenters Lillian Holden and Mike Taylor on the African-American Heritage Water Trail on the Calumet River.

Our host Bob Bohlmann of the Bradley House showed our guests around and Kankakee was a great host city. And that JR’s Fried Chicken and macaroni salad – we all learned why it’s a Kankakee institution!

Thanks again and we look forward to a great coming year and to seeing everyone again next year – if not sooner – out there on our rivers or at other paddler gatherings! Stay tuned!
