As the chill of winter fades and Illinois rivers come alive with the promise of spring, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the remarkable journey that was the 2025 IPC racing season. Despite a year marked by shallow waters and prayers for rain, our paddling community showed unwavering dedication, proving that the heart of IPC isn’t just about speed, but about showing up, persevering, and sharing unforgettable river adventures.

This year’s “Gathering of the Paddlers” in St. Charles, IL, was a true celebration of commitment and camaraderie. With seven races on the circuit and a requirement to compete in at least four to be eligible for the coveted IPC award, our racers demonstrated not only athletic excellence but also the grit to paddle on, no matter the obstacles life (or the weather!) threw their way.

Congratulations to Our 2025 IPC Champions!

Remember: to be eligible for the annual award, you must paddle in the same class in at least four races. Points are awarded based on placement, and the paddler with the most points in each class claims the title for the year.

Here’s to another year of adventure, achievement, and the unbeatable spirit of the IPC paddling community!
