Give Back to the Sport you Love: Volunteer with the IPC!

The IPC relies on our ALL-volunteer organization to make available and disseminate the paddling information our Illinois paddling community needs and wants.

We welcome new members to consider joining our Board of Directors to help us guide the overall direction of our organization and accomplish much of the work of the IPC. We are a ‘working board’ with all of us taking on different roles and responsibilities within the organization. It’s a great way to give back to a sport we know you already love!

In addition, we have a few specific needs we are looking for:

• Posting paddling events and races from around the state to our website events calendar (WordPress skills desired, but we can help with that!)
• Managing the flow of content on our IPC Facebook page for our own group and for other paddling groups.
• Publishing and disseminating our quarterly newsletter (we create most of the content internally and ask for outside submissions as well).
• Being sure our website links to clubs and other resources and connections are current and accurate. (WordPress skills desired, but we can help with that!)
• Building out our paddling map of access points and points of interest on Illinois rivers statewide.
