Gathering of the Paddlers 2023: IPC Annual Meeting and Dinner
The IPC invites paddling enthusiasts from around the state to join us for the Illinois Paddling Council’s Annual Gathering of the Paddlers, the IPC Annual Meeting and Dinner. This year’s dinner is Saturday evening, October 28 from 6-9pm at Emmet’s Brewery on the Fox river in West Dundee.
Our featured presentation at the dinner is by Wally Werderich a paddler on the 4 person team that set the Guinness World Record for paddling from source to sea on the Mississippi River, a journey the team completed in an amazing 16 days, 20 hours and 16 minutes. Wally will be sharing his experiences and stories from this world-record setting event.
You’ll also hear about the newly established Fox River Water Trail and we’ll share information and invite discussion of the bill we are supported in the next legislative session that opens access to Illinois rivers for paddlers.
