2023 Kankakee River Watershed Conference

March 9, 2023 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Two people paddling on the river at sunset

Great things are happening on our Kankakee River, yet a lot of works still needs to be done. Please join us for a one-day workshop where we will discuss, explore and learn more about the removal of sand and sediment, numerous waterfront initiatives, continued monitoring of water quality and quantity, and other initiatives and on-going activities on and within the Kankakee River watershed.

There is no fee for attending, and box lunches will be provided.

The Kankakee River is an essential natural resource for the health and vitality of our area. Sustainable stewardship of this remarkable asset is of concern to multiple interests. By bringing together all stakeholders for a day of education, conversation and networking, the intent is to bridge gaps and forge new partnerships to ensure a continually improving watershed for the good of all residents.
